THIEF

5 May

Whisking through every combination

There are a multitude of factors

As to why theft has increased

And people are taking the law into their own hands

So let’s look at a few angles

Firstly, companies like Coca-Cola, Sainsburys, Amazon, Greggs and Starbucks

I have worked for Starbucks

Doing the cleaning as well as being a barrister

It is not an easy job

So if you are a trillionaire, billionaire or millionaire

Are you paying your staff fairly so they can afford their rent, their bills and get by?

Ask yourselves if you are running your companies ethically, fairly, sustainably?

Low wage Britain

Read HIRED Undercover in low-wage Britain by James Bloodworth

The key is written in his surname

Bloodworth

Is it truly worth their blood, sweat and tears?

If I was a CEO, I know exactly how I would run a company so everyone is rewarded for their hard work

If I was Prime Minister

I know what I would do

Talking to Ben Kentish on LBC about this, he questioned whether people are entitled?

We must never generalise but let’s explore that angle

Do people consider the person growing the wheat?

The person rearing and killing the animals?

The person who has grown the lettuce, picked it, transported it and delivered it to the factory?

The person who has harvested the potatoes that have been grown and made into crisps?

The Coca-Cola cancerous drug that has been unfairly sourced for its ingredients and along with the person who made the sandwich and machine that packaged the crisps, sent to Greggs?

Now you may not think as deeply or as specifically as me but I am asking you to consider all of this when you bite into the sandwich, eat one crisp and sip that can of coke.

Convenience is an understatement

An apathy for those who do not understand what it feels like to be starving, to be homeless, to be severely mentally ill.

If you can afford to buy food from Greggs then consider yourselves lucky

Never forget the less fortunate

Let’s run this country and world more fairly, ethically and sustainably

Before Armageddon takes hold

Food banks should not exist in a first world country

Mothers should not be forced to steal milk formula or baby food to feed their babies

The wealth gap is growing

Therefore something has gone seriously wrong

We need to educate and aid humanity

Be kind and be there for one another.
